Research your options!!!

JeffIf you simply call every company in your telephone listings and hire one based upon "returning your call first," then you may very well be jeopardizing the quality of the work on your home, the safety of wildlife or family, and potentially subjecting yourself to major liability.

Be shop-wise.  We are fully licensed and/or certified in Wildlife Control and Trapping, as well as Tracking and Search-Tracking.

There are no others that can match or beat our qualifications, experience, and stringent training program.

NONE.

As a wise consumer, it is your opportunity to prove us wrong or prove us right.

Staff/Training

The staff at Total Wild! LLC is trained through experience both on and off the job, as well as textbook and outdoor studies.  Our Technicians are required to follow a nationally established curriculum in local bio-ecology.  And, yes, they even get homework!

All Total Wild! Technicians must be proficient in: local animal biology and habits, local ecology, Apache-method Tracking, technical skills, i.e.--knots and rappelling, tool and ladder safety, structural identification and exclusion applications, critical thinking, whip-cracking, roping, Search and Recovery exercises, Wildlife Forensic Pathology, and primitive survival skills.

Each employee is required to study regimen of techniques and assignments, then pass appropriate tests for Technician level advancement.

A major consideration for employment at Total Wild! is based upon the background in Environmental Education that candidates possess upon application.

Our goal reaches far beyond Nuisance Animal Removal and Exclusion.  Total Wild! aims to provide education to the public, as well as school and outdoor-education facility programs in Nature Awareness and Conservation by offering editorials, talks, and workshops. As well, we are striving to bring the valuable science and art of Tracking to aid in wilderness Search and Recovery for missing or lost animals and people.  It is important that any staff or volunteers meet the high standards of quality work, detailed observation, and rigorous critical thinking skills required to perform the tasks of our agency.

Here are some interesting things to consider:

  • Our sealing techniques are much more involved than simply squirting foam into obvious openings around your home.  This is why we get so many calls to pick-up where competitors leave-off!

  • We are Fully Licensed/Certified Trackers, Trappers and Wildlife Control Operators.

  • The company is owned and operated by a man who has lived as closely with Nature as one can, and has been a teacher, Tracker, Trapper, and student of Nature for over twenty years.  This is not a franchise opportunity that someone off the street decided to open on a whim.

  • We are ACTUAL animal experts, including bats.  In fact, we custom make and install bat-houses!

Tips for thought:

• A chimney cap helps to keep animals and their droppings out, but it also stops debris, rain, and snow from falling right into the chimney. Less water means less rusting for the metal parts of your fireplace and less water-damage to mortar joints. No debris means less possibility of choking a flue and setting off a chimney fire in a dirty flue. A chimney cap also facilitates a draft, necessary for proper ventilation and inhibits backpuffing (fireplace smoke coming back into the house). Safety and prevention save on costly damage repairs.

• When having your house sealed properly, gaps that let heat escape are being filled by insulating materials, such as industrial foams and caulking. This process saves heat, energy, and money.

• If you are selling your home, having animals like mice, chipmunks, and bats inside can severely deter potential buyers, making the home less amenable. Total Wild! LLC works hand-in-hand with Real Estate agencies in helping the homeowner secure the sale by securing the home. Sealing and Prevention or Exclusion can help stabilize the true value of the home and improve its salability.

• If you're having a home built, or adding on to your existing home, or even getting a new roof put on, Total Wild! LLC can add animal-proofing to the project before it's completed. It's never too early to think about securing the safety of one of your largest investments.

Can you make a fire with only plant and tree materials?

If you needed water, could you find it and make it safe to drink at any time of the year?

What foods would you need to find and gather from the wild in order to survive in our bioregion?  How many have you tried?
